The flexibility the facility’s simulators offer also allows early testing of enhancements planned for next decade’s ‘Galileo Second Generation’ satellites. “Our aim is to go closer to the market, and how they’re doing things because how current services are being exploited is very important for developing the next generation,” said Olivier Smeyers of ESA’s Commercial User Segment Section.
